Tech Note 111 CMCP510 Display Calibration


CMCP510 Displays may be recalibrated in the field for a full scale reading of 000 to 1999. Displays are calibrated at the factory per order to match the requirements specified by the customer. If the full scale range of the CMCP500 Series Transmitter is changed in the field the display must be recalibrated to the new full scale range.

Using a 4-20mA loop calibrator, such as an Altek 334A, connect the leads of the calibrator as shown in the drawing below.

Setting the 4 mA Set Point (Zero Scale):
Apply 4 mA to the CMCP510 input. Using a small flathead screwdriver, adjust R3 until the desired reading is achieved. See Charts Below

Setting the 20 mA Set Point (Full Scale):
Apply 20 mA to the CMCP510 input, adjust R7 until the desired reading is achieved. See Charts Below

Check to be sure Zero Scale is correct.
