Intrinsically Safe meets the requirements for hazardous locations found in many chemical processing facilities, refineries, mills – facilities where flammable materials are processed or handled.When a 4-20 mA Output Sensor is electrically connected to other equipment, an electrical safety barrier (CMCP245 series) or Isolator must be installed outside the hazardous area in series to prevent fault conditions from introducing excess energy. Conventional Cable Connector Assemblies, like the CMCP602H series, are permitted to be used to make that connection.
