 Mounting of Accelerometers or Velocity Sensors using epoxy adhesives is easily accomplished using STI’s complete line of Adhesives and Adhesive Accessories. Epoxy adhesive mounting of sensors is common in both the Pulp and Paper Industry, where drilling and tapping mounting holes may be impractical. A flat surface is first prepared using a CMCP270 End Mill or Counter Bore. A CMCP200 Series Mounting Pad (1” diameter x 1/4” Thick) is then mounted using adhesives to the prepared area on the bearing. The sensor is then mounted to the mounting pad using a standard mounting stud. In some cases a custom mounting block may be manufactured to exactly fit the curve or shape of the mounting surface.
