STI's CMCP200M Series Magnetic Accelerometer Mounting Pads are used for glue (epoxy) mounting accelerometers to a prepared surface. Mounting pads are made from 416 stainless steel and are 1" (25.4 mm) in diameter and either 1/4" (6.4 mm) or 3/8" (9.5 mm) thick. 416 is a ferrous material which allows the user to attach a magnet to the pad. The pads themselves are not magnets.
The pads are lapped on one side to provide an ideal surface for accelerometer mounting. The pads are also provided with a 1/4" x 28 UNF tapped thru-hole for accelerometer mounting. The 1/4" thick version is recommended for low clearance installations or when using the combination epoxy and stud mounting method. The 3/8" thick version is recommended for installing side exit accelerometers.
